Please help us welcome 2-time Grammy nominee and iconic Boston music legend JON BUTCHER (of The Jon Butcher Axis and Jon Butcher 360°) along with his very special guest ALLEN ESTES as they make their Jasper Hill debut on Saturday night, August 17th!  Jon and Allen will play 2 sets starting just after 8PM, and local singer/songwriter JIM WEEKS and MIKE KELLY of The Jim Weeks Band will also make their Jasper Hill debut to close the evening’s program.



Grammy-nominated guitarist Jon Butcher (and founder of THE JON BUTCHER AXIS) is one of a select handful of influential recording artists who emerged from the legendary ’80s Boston music scene. MTV videos, hit songs, and incendiary live performances comprise the underpinnings of a rich music career that continues today. Jon Butchers’ signature sound features his powerful soul-infused vocals; and his guitar work reflects a skillful mix of Rock and R&B, Funk and Soul, Jazz and Americana, all of it focused through a prism built from the Blues.  Jon’s media company ELECTRIC FACTORY X continues to provide film score, soundtrack and music licensing for television and film including SHAMELESS (Showtime Network) The Simpsons (FOX), Six Feet Under (HBO), The Sopranos (HBO), Deadwood (HBO), United States of Tara (Showtime), Ugly Betty (ABC), My Name Is Earl (NBC), The Life and Times of Buffalo Bill (A+E) and many more.

Singer/songwriter Allen Estes has opened for: Bonnie Raitt, J Geils, Tim McGraw, America, Jose Feliciano, Reba McEntire, Waylon Jennings, Kenny Chesney, Tricia Yearwood, Livingston Taylor, Robert Palmer, Rodney Dangerfield, The Outlaws, Stella Parton, Jonathan Edwards, Tom Rush, Aztec Two-step, Skeeter Davis, Earl Scruggs, Jeanne C. Riley, Grandpa Jones, Dr. Hook, and Joan Armatrading.  He has toured with GRAND OLE OPRY ACT, Marlboro Poland Tour with TRINITY LANE and has co-written songs with Tammy Wynette, Shenia Twain, Pat Alger, Norro Wilson Lori Morgan Kent Blazey Larry Cordle, Robert Ellis Orrall, Billy Montana, Dave Mallett, Jimmy Stewart.  In addition to his music career, Allen has acted in the daytime TV drama “One Life to Live” playing the part of a country rock star.  He is a lecturer in song writing and performance at THE BERKLEE SCHOOL OF MUSIC in Boston, MA. He also teaches a songwriter's workshop at the NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY COLLEGE in Beverly, MA. He has been employed as a Staff Songwriter for the MERIT MUSIC CORPORATION in Nashville, TN. Allen is currently performing club engagements, benefits, state fairs, resorts, colleges, and concert performances throughout the New England and Nashville, TN area.
